Current combination therapies for hepatic tumors include: intra-arterial techniques such as transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and ablative therapies: cryoablation, radiofrequency ablation, and microwave ablation. Combining embolization techniques with liver ablation may enhance the therapeutic benefit of each and result in improved patient survival.  In this talk, Prof. Gallix mentioned the current status of the combination therapy for liver tumors.
