Lesson description:
Extremely compact ultrasound devices can be used in virtually any environment where medical care can be delivered. Such equipment is easily deployed in emergency settings as it can be used very quickly at the bedside.
These clinical ultrasound examinations are specific studies used to answer focused questions (e.g. Does my patient have a pelvic abscess?)
In this lesson we are reviewing clinical case detection and diagnosis of free fluid in the peritoneal and pleural cavities, the identification of abscesses and deep vein thrombosis in the legs.
